Benz Circle flyover in Vijayawada opens for traffic

Vijayawada: A long pending dream has come to reality for the Vijayawada public. The much awaited Kanaka Durga and Benz Circle Flyovers have been opened for general traffic from today onwards. Union Minister for Road Transport  and Highways Nitin Gadkari along with  AP Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy , Union Minister of State for Road Transport  and Highways,General (Retd) V. K. Singh and Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Kanaka Durga and Benz Circle Flyovers of Vijayawada virtually yesterday.

Later they have laid foundation stones for 61 projects worth Rs. 15,591 crores. While  projects

Rs 7,584 .68 Crores have been laid foundation stones today and 8,007.22 crores worth roads and ROBs have been inaugurated. The inauguration of the flyover was postponed twice and came into reality today. The Vijayawada Member of Parliament , Sh. Kesineni Srinivas put a lot of efforts for the successful completion of the Two flyovers in Vijayawada.

The 2.6 km long flyover has been built at an estimated cost of Rs. 502 crores along National Highway 65, which links Hyderabad and Vijayawada. Both the flyovers in Vijayawada are the long pending dreams of Vijayawadaites.
