In Odisha's Bhadrak town situation is under control and there has been considerable improvement. The curfew which was clamped in the town on Friday has been relaxed again this morning from 7 AM till 12 noon to allow people to purchase essential commodities. The district administration had lifted curfew for 4 hours yesterday after reviewing the situation.

Alleged abusive remarks on social media on deities which led to unrest in Bhadrak town have showed signs of no untoward incident being reported in the last 48 hours. Taking strong action to control the unrest, the



administration has blocked the social media including WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter for next 48 hours. 

In view of safety, all educational institutions in the town have been directed not to conduct classes today. Around 36 platoons of police force and 2 companies of central forces have been deployed in the town to ensure no untoward disturbance. Police have arrested 43 persons including the prime accused in connection with the unrest. Meanwhile, the state crime branch started probe into the alleged offensive remarks on deities on social media.
