Banaras Hindu University, BHU, administration has nominated a retired Allahabad High Court Judge Justice VK Dixit to probe into recent series of incidents during students’ agitation.
The administration said the actions in the matter will be taken on the basis of this report.
Talking to media State Government Spokesperson and Power Minister of the State Srikant Sharma on Tuesday in Lucknow said, that people responsible for the misdeeds will not be spared. He accused opposition parties for disturbing the atmosphere of campuses for their political benefits.
Varanasi Commissioner Nitin Ramesh Gokaran has submitted his reports to the government about police baton charge on agitated students and journalists at BHU. He was asked by the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to submit his probe report.

Girish Chandra Tripathi has denied that the students were lathi charged in the campus. He has said that action was taken against those who hurled petrol bombs and pelted stones, and attempted to burn the university's property.
Mr Tripathi has said that the protests were being organised by some unwanted elements who appeared to be outsiders. He also said, police used force only to ensure that such elements are moved out of the campus.
Meanwhile, The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has issued notices to the the State Government and the Vice-Chancellor, BHU in connection with baton charge by police on girl students and alleged inaction on complaint of eve teasing.
Taking suo motu cognisance of media reports about the incidents at BHU the Commission has asked them to file their reports within four months.
