In Odisha, the Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda airports were put on high alert Thursday afternoon, and bomb and dog squads were immediately deployed following bomb threats from a Twitter handle. Later, the airport authorities were informed that it was a hoax, as no bombs were detected after a thorough security check.

The Biju Patnaik International Airport authorities in Bhubaneswar said they received a bomb threat from a post on X claiming that a bomb was present on the

Bengaluru-Bhubaneswar Air Akash flight, which had arrived in the afternoon. The airport was immediately cordoned off by security personnel, and an extensive search was carried out, including a thorough check of the flight, but it was later found that the threat was a hoax. Veer Surendra Sai Airport authorities in Jharsuguda also received a bomb threat regarding the Bengaluru-Jharsuguda Indigo flight, but after a thorough check, it was determined that the threat was also a hoax.
