Bhutan King arrives in New Delhi for 2-day official visit

Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema Wangchuck reached New Delhi this morning on a two-day visit to India. External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar received them at the airport. 

During the visit, the King of Bhutan will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dr Jaishankar and senior officials of the government will also



call on the King of Bhutan.

India and Bhutan enjoy unique ties of friendship and cooperation, which are characterized by mutual understanding and trust. The visit shall provide both sides with an opportunity to review the entire gamut of bilateral cooperation and advance the bilateral partnership.
