Biennial elections to 11 Maharashtra Legislative Council seats on July 16

In Maharashtra, biennial election to the State Legislative Council to fill up 11 seats will be held on 16th of next month. The term of 11 members of the Upper House, elected by MLAs, expires on 27th



July. 

According to the notification issued by the Election Commission, the last date for filing nominations is 5th of next month, scrutiny will be held on 6th and the last date of withdrawal of nominations is 9th July.
