Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has accepted the resignation of Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh and sent it for approval of Governor Phagu Chouhan.
Tourism Minister Kumar Sarvajit has been made the new Agriculture Minister.
Earlier on October 2, Agriculture Minister Sudhakar Singh resigned from his post and submitted his resignation to Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav. He is the second Minister after Law Minister Kartikeya
Singh to resign from the Nitish Kumar cabinet.
Mr. Singh said the statistics of the government itself indicate utter failure of the agriculture road maps in achieving their objectives on any count. Reacting to Bihar Agriculture Minister's resignation, State BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal said, Sudhakar Singh was compelled to resign as he was raising the issue of corruption in the agriculture department.
