Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has welcomed the proposal of a special financial package for Bihar in the Union Budget. Mr Kumar said the budget is positive in terms of the needs of Bihar. The Chief Minister was talking to the media in state assembly premises in Patna. He said special attention has been paid to road connectivity projects, power projects, airports, medical colleges and sports infrastructure. Mr Kumar said provisions for the development of the tourism sector and flood-fighting
initiatives are commendable.
Common people in Bihar praised the development oriented provisions of Union Budget 2024-25. Professor Juni Singh from Patna said several initiatives in the budget will boost the infrastructure and tourism sector in Bihar.
Professor Shweta Priya said proposals of two new corridors at Vishnupad Temple in Gaya and Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya are very significant steps.
