Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has asked all District Magistrates (DMs) to remain on high after Cyclone Yaas hit the Odisha and West Bengal coastal. The State Government has deployed 22 disaster management teams in districts adjoining Jharkhand and West Bengal. Met Department predicts Cyclone will hit Patna this evening.

at isolated places was issued for the state. Met scientist said though widespread rainfall and thunderstorm is likely across the state till 29th of May, the impact of the cyclone will be more over the next two days with higher intensity in northern - western parts of the state. The East Central Railways has cancelled 15 trains in view of cyclone.
