Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yesterday expressed his gratitude to the central government for providing special financial help in two consecutive union budgets. Replying to the motion of thanks on the governor’s address in the state assembly, Mr. Kumar said, that in 2024 special economic assistance was provided for flood mitigation and action plans along with road connectivity, industry, tourism and the health sector. He said in 2025, special financial assistance has been announced for the development of airports in Bihar,



Financial support for the Western Kosi Canal project, Makhana Board and the expansion of IIT Patna.

Mr. Kumar said, 50 lakh jobs will be provided to youths before the upcoming state assembly elections.

Earlier, joining the debate on the governor’s address in the lower house, the leader of the opposition Tejashwi Prasad Yadav attacked the government in Bihar. He alleged that the NDA government has failed on all fronts of development.
