Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend the lockdown till May 31 so that the state government can make arrangements for large inflow of migrant workers and other stranded persons returning from across the country.

A significant number of migrant



workers returning home have tested positive for Covid-19. During a video conferencing session with PM, Nitish said till May 10, one lakh 14 thousand people have come to Bihar through 96 trains. He said in next seven days, 179 trains will come and 2.5 lakh people will reach the state.
