Bihar government has extended the period of night curfew by three hours from 6 pm to 6 am from April 29. Shops and business establishment will be closed by 4 pm. Essential services has been exempted from this order.
These decisions were taken by the crisis management group headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Fifty persons will be allowed for marriage ceremony while only 20 persons will be permitted for funeral procession. Government and private offices will be closed after 4 afternoon. 25 percent attendance will be allowed in offices. The state government will bear all expenses of funeral of those who died due to covid and related deceases.
Meanwhile, fresh cases of Covid-19 continue to rise rapidly. Record number of 13
thousand 374 fresh cases were reported in the state yesterday. 145 deaths were also reported. With this, casualities due to the pandemic has gone upto two thousand 391. Positivity rate has gone upto about 13 percent. Maximum positive cases of two thousand 297 were reported from Patna followed by one thousand 133 in Gaya.
Active cases in the state have gone upto 98 thousand 747 and they are undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Recovery rate is decreasing and it is now at 77.09 percent. Over three lakh 40 thousand patients have so far recovered from infection.
87 thousand 348 people took vaccine on Wednesday. Over 69 lakh 55 thousand 27 people have so far been vaccinated in the state.
