In Bihar, new Civil Enclaves will be constructed at Darbhanga and Purnea Airport. The Government of Bihar and Airports Authority of India (AAI) have signed MOUs in this regard.
Under the MOU construction will take place on 78 acres of land in Darbhanga and 52.18 acres of land in Purnea.
Presently the air services are functional at Darbhanga airport from a makeshift Civil Enclave.
Under the agreement, the
Government of Bihar will provide undisputed land free of cost to AAI for both airports.
It will lead to the construction of well-equipped terminal buildings and passenger-centric facilities at the airports of Darbhanga and Purnea.
The construction of the new Civil Enclave at Purnea Airports will also pave the way for the commencement of air services there, eliminating the existing hurdles.
