Bihar government has given an ex-gratia of four lakh rupees to the next of the kin of three thousand 727 persons who died due to covid in the state. This ex-gratia is being given under chief minister relief fund. Health Minister Mangal Pandey said five thousand 340 people have so far died due to covid in the state so far. Mr Pandey said DMs of all district have been instructed to furnish details about of those persons who died due to covid infection in the state.

Meanwhile, Bihar is witnessing a sharp decline in fresh COVID cases. The state’s recovery



rate has risen to 98 per cent, while the test positivity rate has declined to below one percent and it is 0.88 percent. The number of active cases is also decreasing and presently stands at 09 thousand 627. 

Over six lakh 97 thousand 229 people have so far recovered from the infection. One thousand seven fresh COVID cases were reported in the state during the last 24 hours and one thousand 667 people recovered yesterday. Over one crore 10 lakh people 43 thousand people have been vaccinated in the state so far.
