In Bihar, more than 2.80 crores of saplings have been planted under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.

Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister Dr. Prem Kumar yesterday said the campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of World Environment Day and



Bihar has achieved the feat much before the timeline of 30th September.

Dr Kumar said in the current financial year the state has set a target of afforestation of 4.68 crore plants and so far 3.54 crore saplings have been planted.
