Bihar Police To Soon Roll Out Unified WhatsApp Number For Public Complaints

Bihar police will soon roll out a unified WhatsApp number to receive complaints regarding crime and other issues from the general public. Addressing a workshop in Patna on three new criminal laws on Sunday, DGP Bihar, RS Bhatti said, the police is working on it in the interest of common people. He said, by rolling out this facility the police would like to make itself more transparent and



people-friendly.

The DGP said, use of social media has increased by the Bihar police to make it more accessible and active in grievance redressal. He said, within the last one and half years the followers of Bihar police social media handles have increased to around 1.2 million, putting Bihar among top five states of the country.
