The Supreme Court yesterday summoned former CBI interim director M Nageswara Rao for transferring a senior officer heading the probe in Bihar shelter home case.

The top court also issued a cotempt notice to him for transferring former CBI Joint Director AK Sharma without its permisssion.

The court had earlier ordered that the investigations into Bihar shelter home case would be supervised by AK Sharma only. The court reprimanded the CBI for 'playing' with its order.

It also directed CBI Director Rishi



Kumar Shukla to give the names of the officers who were involved in the process of transferring Sharma out of the probe agency.

The CBI officers will have to file their responses to the show cause notice on February 11.  The next date of hearing is February 12.

Several girls were allegedly raped and sexually abused at an NGO-run shelter home in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The issue had come to light following a report by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
