Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh yesterday said that the recently approved BioE3 policy (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment, and Employment) of the government will be a game changer in the field of biotechnology and will lead the national bioeconomy to 300 billion dollars by 2030.

Organisation in New Delhi, the Minister said that India is the first country in the world to have a bioeconomy policy. The Union Minister further added that this MoU will lead to cooperation in the field of space biotechnology. The MoU between ISRO and DBT will benefit the national human space program and spur innovation and development in the fields of human health research, novel pharmaceuticals, and bio-based technologies.
