The Bharatiya Janata Party has won the Jind bypoll election in Haryana. BJP candidate Krishan Middha defeated nearest rival Digvijay Chautala of Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) by nearly 13,000 votes.The bypoll was necessitated following the death of Middha's father INLD MLA Hari Chand Middha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has thanked the people of Jind for voting for the BJP. In a tweet, Mr Modi



said, this is a seat where the party has never won before. The Prime Minister said, he is glad to see the development agenda of BJP finding support among all sections of society.

In Rajasthan, Congress candidate Shafia Zubair won the Ramgarh assembly seat by defeating her nearest rival of BJP Sukhwant Singh, with a margin of over 12,000 votes.
