Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Gopal Bhargava has written a letter to the Governor Anandiben Patel to convene a special session of the state Assembly as soon as possible. 

Mr. Bhargava said, in the changing political scenario, the Kamal Nath-led Congress government should prove majority in the Assembly. Reacting to this, Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said he is  all prepared to go for floor test.

Mr Nath also



claimed that he had proven majority of his coalition government "four times" in the last five months, and is ready to do so again. 

In elections for the 230-member Assembly last year, the Congress won 114 seats while the BJP coming a close second with 109. The Bahujan Samaj Party has won two seats, the Samajwadi Party one and the Independents bagged four seats. Congress formed government with the support of BSP and SP.
