BJP candidate Kunvarji Bavaliya wins Jasdan Assembly by-poll in Gujarat

In Gujarat, BJP candidate and state minister Kunvarji Bavaliya won the by-poll of Jasdan assembly seat. He defeated his rival congress candidate Avsar Nakiya by 19,985 votes. 

Total Votes of BJP candidate Kunvarji Bavaliya received 90268. Total votes of Congress candidate Avsar Nakiya received 70283. The counting begun at 8 am in the morning. 

The by-poll has been necessitated due to Kunwarjiya Bavaliya’s resignation as he had resigned as a Congress MLA and



joined ruling BJP. Gujarat BJP celebrates victory in Jasdan assembly seat by-poll at the state party headquarter at Gandhinagar. 

CM Vijay Rupani likely to join the celebration of victory of state minister Kunvarji Bavaliya later in Jasdan. It is to noted that after independence, this is the only second victory of BJP in this Congress fort. 

With this victory, ruling BJP's strength has risen to 100 in the state assembly
