BJP yesterday criticized the Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for his remark on EVM. Addressing media in New Delhi, Party Spokesperson Sambit Patra said, congress raises questions on EVMs, only when it loses the election.
Mr Patra said, congress has been sidelined almost in every state. Even in Jharkhand Assembly elections, Congress won lesser seat than BJP. He said, in Maharashtra elections, where the BJP led Mahayuti has registered a landslide victory, the Congress has been
almost wiped out. Mr Patra also took exception to the remarks of Mr Kharge that the votes of SCs, STs, OBCs and poor are getting wasted due to EVM. The BJP spokesperson said that such thinking of Congress is an insult to these communities.
In reply to a question on Sambhal incident in Uttar Pradesh, Mr Sambit Patra said that it is a sensitive issue and it should not be politicized. He also said that those responsible for this incident will not be spared.
