The BJP on Monday displayed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BA and MA certificates at a press conference in New Delhi following allegations by Aam Admi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal over the PM's educational qualifications.
BJP leader Amit Shah presented the Prime Minister's BA degree certificate from DU and MA degree from Gujarat University. Mr. Shah also demanded public apology from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for levelling allegations against the PM on his education qualification status.
"It is very unfortunate that we have to hold this press meet to clarify Prime Minister’s educational qualification status," BJP President Amit Shah.
"Public discourse has "stooped so low" in the wake of baseless allegations by AAP," said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who was also present at the press conference.
Mr. Jaitley hit out at AAP, saying

several of its leaders are being prosecuted and investigated over fake degrees.
Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal, recently wrote to the Delhi University Vice-Chancellor urging him to make Prime Minister Narendra Modi's degree public. In his to letter to DU V-C Yogesh Tyagi, Mr. Kejriwal said that there are reports that the reason behind not making the degree public is that it was not being considered 'safe'. "It will be better if you upload the degree on DU website. After all, people of this country have the right to know how much educated our Prime Minister is," he wrote.
Mr. Kejriwal had alleged that the PM’s degree was “forged”, which is why DU was not sharing it. “DU refuses to show records of PM’s degree. Why? My info - he did not do B.A. from DU. No records in DU. Degree published by some papers forged,” he said in a series of tweets.
