Visakhapatnam: BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari asserted that Visakhapatnam has an inseparable connection with Bharatiya Janata Party.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, she reminded that in 1981, BJP leader N.S.N. Reddy had been the city’s mayor. At the time, BJP laid the foundation for development of Visakhapatnam. She underlined that the then prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee ensured laying of roads and highways.
Purandeswari criticised the YSRC government saying it has made the lives of poor people miserable. She expressed anger that
it had metamorphosed Rushi Konda into a Bodi Konda.
She accused the state government of not allocating land for establishing a separate railway zone in Visakhapatnam. She said BJP is reviewing the construction of ESI Hospital in the port city.
The BJP state president said, "When Kambhampati Haribabu was MP, many developmental activities had been taken up to develop the medical sector in the city. TD and YSRC governments are responsible for medical sector not coming up on time."
