Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India remains a beacon of hope in a gloomy global economy as testified by the IMF and other credit rating agencies. Addressing an election rally in Chennai last night, he attributed the achievement to hard work and diligent efforts.
He said, BJP-led government is taking the nation on a corruption-free path. Mr Modi asked the youth of Tamil Nadu to look beyond the corrupt DMK and the AIADMK and find an alternative with the BJP to replicate good governance in the state. election just nine days away.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi sought to strike an emotional chord with the people of Tamil Nadu by listing out the efforts he has taken in ensuring safety of Tamil fishermen, rescuing a missionary from the state from the clutches of Afghan Taliban and his immediate visit and rushing aid to the state after the deluge last December.
Earlier in Hosur, he asserted, making banks accessible to the poorest of the poor, Mudra scheme, Digital India, Start Up India Digital India and a host of other schemes bear fruit in bringing the needed change.
