After a noticeable delay, the BJP central leadership will finally arrive in the coastal state of Goa and decide on who will be the next chief minister of the state. Goa BJP state president Sadanand Tanavde said that the legislature party meet has been fixed for March 21 at 4 pm.
“Our national President JP Nadda has said that the legislature party meeting has to be taken tomorrow. The central party observers Narendra Singh Tomar and L Murugan are coming to Goa and along with them our Goa election incharge Devendra Fadnavis along with All India General Secretary CT Ravi are coming to Goa too,” said Tanavde
When asked to comment on who will be the Chief Minister of Goa, the state president refused to comment.
“The details on
who will lead and who will be the chief minister will be decided tomorrow and then the letter will be given to the Governor of the state and then the date for the swearing-in ceremony will be decided. The date for the swearing-in ceremony will be decided by the central leaders. The swearing-in ceremony can take place on March 23,24 or 25. Only the central leaders and state election incharge will be giving more details on the issues related to MGP and other issues as well.” he said.
Caretaker CM Pramod Sawant along with Vishwajit Rane met union home minister Amit Shah and other central leaders on March 19, further increasing the suspense on who will be the next Chief Minister of the state. Many quarters have speculated that Vishwajit Rane is also in contention for the top post.
