Jammu and Kashmir BJP MLAs will meet in Jammu today to take a call on the government formation in the state following Peoples Democratic Party, PDP's decision declaring Mehbooba Mufti as the Chief Ministerial candidate. BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav and senior State BJP leader and Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh are expected to attend the meeting.
Speaking to media, Dr Jitendra Singh said, BJP never made any extra demand and the agenda of
the Alliance, which was formed, is still the same.
Ms Mehbooba Mufti was declared the Chief Ministerial candidate at the PDP Legislative Party meet in Srinagar last evening. The move paved way for Ms Mufti to be the first woman chief minister of new PDP-BJP coalition government.
Governor NN Vohra will also hold separate meetings in Jammu today with the Presidents of PDP and State BJP to seek their formal viewpoint on the government formation.
