Hours after his resignation from the BJP and the Lok Sabha, Maharashtra MP Nana Patole met Congress General Secretary Mohan Prakash in New Delhi giving an indication that he may join the opposition party. 

Mohan Prakash said, Patole will share the stage with Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on 11th of this month in Ahmedabad.He said, it will be Patole's decision to which party he joins but Congress has been his old home. 

Earlier in the



day, the BJP MP, who represents Bhandara-Gondia seat, had sent his resignation to Lok Sabha Speaker 
Sumitra Mahajan. He has been critical of the state government over a host of issues including farmers' distress. 

Patole has been a member of other parties, including the Congress, in the past. 

He had joined the BJP before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in which he defeated senior NCP leader Praful Patel.
