BJP, NPP likely to form government in Meghalaya

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma is likely to meet the state Governor today to stake claim for the formation of a new NPP-led government. BJP has already supported the NPP to form the government.

Though NPP did not secure majority in the Assembly elections, the party



sources informed that he will meet the governor this morning.

It is learnt that the  NPP is trying to get the support of other parties too to submit the list of majority MLAs supporting the coalition after the party secured 26 seats
