Bengaluru: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of offering Rs 25-30 crore to Congress/ JD(S) MLAs to 'destabilise' the ruling government in Karnataka. The Congress strongman has also claimed that he has enough proof to show that the BJP is indulging in horse trading. He further said that the proof will be produced at an appropriate moment.
BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa has, however, refuted the claims and said that the BJP is 'not interested' in toppling the ruling Congress-JD(S) combine.
"The BJP, which stands for horse trading, is
planning to buy every MLA from Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore. If they are not corrupt, where does this huge sum come from?" Siddaramaiah asked in a tweet on December 30. In response, Yeddyurappa, BJP's CM candidate for the recently concluded Karnata elections alleged that Siddaramaiah was trying to blame the BJP for his failure.
"Mr Twitterramaiah For last 6 months you have been crying the same old thing. Congress ministers are dissatisfied due to your intolerance towards a Dailt becoming DCM. Your greed to hold on to power has pushed the party to the verge of collapsing. Stop blaming BJP to hide your failure."
