BJP has planned extensive campaigning in Tripura for the state Assembly Elections. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a rally in Agartala city yesterday evening. He held a road show and addressed public rally in and around Agartala today.
Union Textile and Information & Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani is also in Tripura for campaigning. Addressing a rally in Chandipur constituency of Unakoti district, she said that in the
last 25 years of CPIM Government, the poor section of the society is away from development in the state. Ms. Irani will also address two rallies in Fatikroy and Pabiacherra of Unakoti district today.
Meanwhile, the picture for 60 member assembly polls is clear now as 297 candidates including 20 women are in the fray. The voting will be held on 18th of this month while counting will take place on 3rd of next month.
