BJP President J P Nadda yesterday held a meeting with the party leaders in New Delhi ahead of the counting of votes of the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections. Party General Secretaries B L Santosh, Vinod Tawde, Arun Singh and Dushyant Gautam were among those who attended the meeting.

Besides, the party’s State Presidents and State General secretaries were also present at the



meeting held at BJP Headquarters.

Meanwhile, the Congress has appointed observers to Maharashtra and Jharkhand to oversee the post-election scenario. Senior party leaders Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel and Dr G Parameshwara have been appointed as observers for Maharashtra while Congress MP Tariq Anwar and two other leaders were appointed for Jharkhand.
