Guwahati: BJP President J P Nadda said that the BJP has not only fulfilled poll promises but also those that have not been promised. Mr. Nadda told that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi the country has witnessed changing of culture of politics in the country. Attending the Assam BJP's state executive meeting in Guwahati, Mr. Nadda alleged that the Congress did not fulfill poll promises while the BJP is always committed to fulfill all promises that have been made before elections. 

The BJP President mentioned that under Modi, the North East region witnessed massive development in



infrastructure and connectivity. He appealed the party workers to spread awareness at ground level on the welfare schemes of the Centre and Assam government. He also criticised the Congress party for the Bharat Jodo Yatra, stating that the Congress also tried to divide the country.   

Addressing the party functionaries, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma pitched for the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in the state. He said that the Assam government is fully committed to the welfare of the people of the state.
