BJP releases list of candidates for assembly by-polls in Bihar, Odisha

The BJP yesterday released its list of candidates for assembly by-elections in Bihar and Odisha.

The party has made Kusum Devi as candidate from Gopalganj while Sonam Devi from Mokama constituency in Bihar.

The by-election in Gopalganj was necessitated following demise of its sitting BJP MLA.  On the other hand byelection in Mokama was necessitated following RJD MLA  Anant Kumar was disqualified in July this year by the Bihar



Vidhan Sabha following his conviction in a case.

Polling will be held in these constituencies on November 3 and counting of votes will take place on November 6. Candidates can file their nomination upto 14th October and scrutiny of nomination will be on the next day. Withdrawal of candidature is till 17th October.

From Odisha's Dhamnagar, BJP has fielded Suryabanshi Suraj Sthitaprajna.
