The leaders of the BJP and Akali Dal met in New Delhi on Tuesday and discussed the joint strategy for the Punjab polls slated early next year.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal said, the Akali Dal and BJP are like one party and would not just contest the next election together but also elections in next 20
years.
Mr Badal said, he discussed the strategy on how to win the next election with the BJP President Amit Shah. He said, a core committee will be formed soon to work on it, which will help improve coordination between the alliance partners.
He also rejected the news of the rift between the two parties and said there was no question of breaking the alliance.
