The BJP has sought action against Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia for allegedly sending lakhs of letters to voters in the city about improved state of government schools without permission of the poll panel.

The leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta filed the complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi, accusing Sisodia of sending letters

without the statutory permission as required under the Model Code of Conduct.

He alleged that a large number of voters are receiving these letters through speed post. Mr Gupta also said that Sisodia is misusing the government machinery, stationery and public funds for issuing these letters with intent to influence voters.
