In spite of widespread rainfall in most parts of Odisha last week, the temperature again rose alarmingly, especially in the western Odisha, yesterday with temperature going beyond 40 degree Celsius in 13 places. Boalangir and Titlagarh were the hottest place in the state with 46 degree Celsius
each.
The Met department warned that similar conditions would be experienced during next couple of days. However, the State capital Bhubaneswar recorded a maximum day temperature of 40.5 degree Celsius, as a smart nor’wester accompanied by downpour brought the mercury down last evening.
