Boat Carrying Passengers Sink In Back Waters Of Ujani Dam, Pune

A boat carrying passengers has sunk in the back waters of Ujani Dam in the Indapur tehsil of Pune district. Seven passengers are missing while one of them swam to safety and reported the matter to the locals. A NDRF team has started search operation to find missing persons. The boat was travelling from Kalashi in Indapur taluka to Kugaon in Karmala taluka of



Solapur district when it overturned due to strong winds. 

A total of 8 passengers including four men, two women, and two little girls were in the boat when the mishap occurred. Out of them, Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Dongre jumped into the water and swam to safety.
