Budget session of Bihar Legislature to begin today

Patna: Budget session of Bihar Legislature will begin today with the address of Governor Phagu Chauhan. The session will continue till March 31. There will be 22 seatings during this session.

The Economic Survey of the state will be tabled after address of the Governor. Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad who holds Finance portfolio will present budget for financial year 2022-23 on February 28. The debate on the



governor's address will be held the same day, followed by the government's reply on March 2. 

The session is likely to be stormy as opposition has decided to raise various issues including what they called deteriorating law and order situation in state. Assembly Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha has appealed to members to co-operate for smooth functioning of the house.
