Bengaluru: Budget session of Karnataka Assembly will begin today. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who is also holding the Finance portfolio will present his maiden budget on the first day of the session. This will be the last full-fledged budget ahead of the assembly elections.

The opposition Congress is likely to raise the Makedatu drinking water project issue which has inter state ramifications over river Cauvery. The Hijab row, killing of Bajrang Dal activist Harsha in Shivamogga, evacuation of students from Ukraine would also figure in the budget session.
