Building permissions may go online

The Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department is considering making building permission applications online in all the municipalities in the state from June 10. The officials have put all arrangements in place to launch the online application process. As part of the exercise, training classes are now being conducted for the staff dealing with the building applications.
The Greater Warangal and Nizamabad Municipal Corporations Commissioners would conduct training classes for the staff. The officials are taking all steps to see there are no technical snags in the implementation of online application system. 
The MAUD Minister K T Rama Rao during his 100 days action plan had said that the application system would be made online and the applicant would be informed about the status of



the application including whether permission was given or not. The system was launched in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) from June 2 onwards.
There are 73 Municipalities/Municipal Corporations in the State including the Nagarpanchayats and the online system would be implemented in all these local bodies. According to a senior official in CDMA, the Development Permission Management System (DPMS) would be implemented in the municipalities and Central Processing Unit (CPU) would be set up in the Directorate of Town,Country Planning office.
For building permissions, all the documents required should be submitted online only. If the applicant failed to submit a particular document, he/she would receive a message on his mobile phone about the missing document, the official added.
