Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Bundelkhand Expressway will prove to be a development expressway for the region. Mr. Modi said the 15 thousand crore rupees project will change the lives of people in the Bundelkhand region.
Prime Minister on Saturday day laid the foundation stone of 296 kilometers long Bundelkhand Expressway at Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh yesterday. Mr. Modi said this project will create thousands of job opportunities and connect the common people with facilities in bigger cities.
The expressway will pass through Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur and Jalaun districts of Uttar Pradesh.
It will link the
Bundelkhand region to the national capital Delhi through the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and the Yamuna Expressway.
Mr. Modi said the Bundelkhand Expressway will also give a boost to the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor. He said a provision of 3,700 crore rupees has been made for the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor in this year's Union Budget.
Prime Minister distributed 56,000 Aids & Assistive Devices to Divyangjan and Senior Citizens at a mega Samajik Adhikarita camp at Prayagraj. Mr. Modi also launched 10,000 Farmers Producer Organisations(FPOs) all over the country from Chitrakoot.
