Bundelkhand region facing danger of floods after heavy rains

The Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh is facing danger of floods after heavy rains as also water released from different dams.

 

Met department has forecast heavy rains in the region, forcing administration to close educational institutions in some districts.

 

In Odisha, heavy rain crippled normal life in most parts of the state as the low pressure over the Bay of Bengal intensified into a deep



depression. 

 

In view of incessant rain, the Odisha government has directed authorities to close all Anganwadi centres across state and schools in the capital city of Bhubaneswar today.

 

Rains lashed the national capital yesterday evening, causing traffic jams at several places during rush hour. The weatherman has predicted more rains in the city today.
