At least 15 people died and several people got injured after a roadways bus crashed into a mini truck in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras on Friday. The incident took place on National Highway 93.
The passengers were on their way to Agra from Hathras. Those on the mini-truck were returning to the Sewala village after having lunch.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the accident and expressed condolences. He also directed the officials to expedite the relief work.

also announced compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of those who died in the accident and Rs 50,000 each to those severely injured.
The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police reached the district hospital following the accident.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Nipun Agarwal said, "The accident occurred when the bus hit the van while trying to overtake it on the Agra-Aligarh National Highway."
The condition of four of the injured is said to be critical, reported news agency PTI.
