Anantapur: Tragedy struck near Mocharla, Gudur mandal, in Nellore district on Sunday when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus collided with a lorry, leaving two dead and 10 injured.
According to reports, the TSRTC bus heading from Hyderabad to Tirupati attempted to overtake the lorry on the National Highway near Mocharla. The maneuver resulted in a rear-end collision,
causing severe damage to the bus and triggering the tragic outcome.
The bus driver and a passenger perished instantly at the scene. Ten other passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees and were immediately rushed to Kavali hospital for treatment. Authorities promptly responded to clear the highway debris and manage traffic flow.
