Union Cabinet has cleared an ordinance to authorize use of funds by state administration beyond 1st of April in centrally-ruled Uttarakhand. Talking to reporters after a cabinet meeting in New Delhi last night, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said, an appropriation ordinance for the state has been recommended for consideration of President so that valid withdrawal of revenue can be done. 
On Tuesday, the Budget session of Parliament was prorogued to enable the Centre to issue an ordinance for authorising



expenditure in Uttarakhand. Both the houses were adjourned on 16th of this month to meet on 25th of April in the second part of the session.
The Cabinet also approved re-promulgation of an ordinance to amend Enemy Property Act. 
On Tuesday, Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs had given its nod for prorogation of the Rajya Sabha to enable re-issuing the Ordinance bringing changes in the Enemy Property Act which is pending in the Upper House after being passed by the Lok Sabha.
