Cabinet to give 10% reservation to economically backward section in West Bengal

The West Bengal Cabinet has decided to give 10 per cent reservation in Education and Employment to the economically backward section people of the state. The State Cabinet took the decision which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata



yesterday. 

Briefing the Cabinet decision the state Education Minister Mr Partha Chatterjee told that people who get reservations under caste system will not get the benefit. He said that the details parameter of the reservations will be communicated later.
