In Tripura, poll campaigning in West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency and for a bye-poll for the 7-Ramnagar Assembly seat, will end at 5 pm today. The day will witness a mega rally by Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Swami Vivekanand Ground in Agartala.
Last evening in a press conference, Chief Electoral Officer Puneet Agarwal said that polling in all booths under the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency and Ramnagar assembly constituency will take place from 7 am to 5 pm on 19th April.
On the eve of the end of the loud campaign, the Chief Electoral Officer informed that all efforts have been made to ensure free, fair and peaceful voting. He further said central forces will be deployed at every polling booth.
Also, Mr Agarwal urged the voters to come forward to cast their votes fearlessly and in a festive mood, adding adequate security arrangements have been put in place for ensuring a peaceful voting. He said 100 companies of central armed paramilitary forces have been deployed in addition to the state police for poll duty.
As per the guidelines of the election commission, police will ensure that all outsiders must leave the constituency by 48 hours before the election. The election department has, for this purpose, will make surveillance on hotels and guest houses. He said all kinds of surveillance and security measures will be intensified.
Also, the CEO said since the day the elections were announced on 16th March, police have conducted raids in different parts of the state whereby incriminate items worth 26 crore rupees have been seized.

The election campaign for the first phase of elections for 12 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan will end this evening. These include Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa and Nagaur seats.
Today, on the last day of campaigning, leaders of BJP, Congress, National Democratic Party, CPI(M), other parties and independent candidates will leave no stone unturned to woo the voters.

Apart from them, Senior BJP leader Diya Kumari in Dholpur, Premchand Bairwa in Ajmer, Satish Poonia in Jalore-Sirohi, and Rajendra Rathore will campaign for party candidates in Churu.
On the other hand, state president of Congress Govind Dotasara will hold public meetings for the alliance candidate at various places in the Sikar Lok Sabha constituency.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and senior leader Sachin Pilot also have a program to campaign for party candidates at various places.
Campaigning will end in 6 Lok Sabha constituencies of Madhya Pradesh from 6 pm today In the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. The election campaigning for the second phase and filing of nomination papers for the third phase is going on in full swing in the state.
