Campaigning for the third phase of Assembly elections will end today in West Bengal. 62 constituencies spread over Uttar Kilkata, Murshidabad, Nadia and Burdwan districts, will go to polls in this phase on Thursday.
A total of 418 candidates including 70 Independents are in
the fray in this phase. Only BJP and Trinamool Congress have fielded candidates in all 62 constituencies.
While CPM is contesting 38 seats, Congress has fielded its candidates for 26 seats. About one crore eight lakh voters will decide the fate of these candidates.
