Kerala witnessing heated campaigning. Union Home minister Amit Shah held a roadshow in Tripunithura as part of NDA campaign. Mr. Shah later addressed a public meeting in Kanjirappally in the Kottayam district. He will attend the public gathering at Puttingal in Kollam and a roadshow in Palakkad and will leave for Coimbatore in the evening. Union Minister Prakash Javdekar who is in Thiruvananthapuram will release the NDA manifesto today.
Senior Congress leader AK Antony is in Kerala campaigning for UDF. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan addressed publing gatherings in Pathanamthitta districts as part of LDF campaign. Meanwhile, Kerala Chief Electoral Officer Teeka Ram Meena has directed district collectors to probe the voter discrepancies in the state. The CEO has ordered a
detailed inquiry into all 140 constituencies following a preliminary probe that uncovered significant discrepancies in the voter list.
In Tamil Nadu, campaigning for the April 6th single phase assembly election to the 234 constituencies has hit a high pitch with the various political parties in the State making an all-out effort to woo the voters. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, DMK leader M.K.Stalin and other leaders of the allied front will address an election rally in Salem on the 28th of this month. Today, AIADMK Joint Co-ordinator and Chief Minister Edapadi K.Palanisamy campaigning in Karur district and DMK Chief M.K.Satalin campaigning in Salem, Kallkurichi, Villupuram, and Cuddalore districts. The election code of conduct is being strictly enforced by the election authorities.
